The Earth Institute is now accepting proposals for Earth Networks (three-year working groups formed around one interdisciplinary topic), and Earth Frontiers (seed funding for interdisciplinary projects).
This fall, the Earth Institute will be evaluating project proposals under its new Earth Frontiers seed funding program for Columbia University faculty and researchers. The program, which was first announced this past spring of 2019, is accepting projects through September 9, 2019.
The President’s Global Innovation Fund will provide grants to four Earth Institute research projects.
In an effort to better support students in their efforts to raise awareness about sustainability on campus, the Earth Institute is making available funding for the new Student Initiatives Support Program, offering grants of up to $250 each semester to support students who wish to host conferences, panels and other events at Columbia University that relate to the work of the Earth Institute.
The Earth Institute’s annual donor report for fiscal year 2011 is now available in an interactive digital format. We remain committed to finding extraordinary support to unprecedented global challenges, many of which are outlined in this report. We have highlighted some of our innovative projects in research, policy, and education, as well as the partnerships that are helping to support them.
